Job Overview
This is a fantastic new role & opportunity to join Whitemeadow as our ‘Learning & Development’ Adviser. This role will be responsible for supporting our business leaders & managers in the delivery of impactful, business focussed, engaging training.
Reporting into the Head of HR, you will play a crucial role supporting our business leaders in designing, delivering, and continuously improving our training resources & offering. Working collaboratively, your focus will initially be enhancing management capability and designing a business fit new performance management system and supporting with the roll out of our new ‘Vision & Values’ across all levels of the organisation.
You will more widely support our managers by conducting ‘training needs analysis’ against identified skills gaps and then create targeted, appropriate & training interventions that consider different learning styles, the demographic, appropriate media, level and the pace required.
Ultimately this role will contribute to our overall success by contributing to building a supportive learning culture through - delivering engaging training initiatives that enhance performance, improve productivity, encourage career progression and reduced employee turnover. To be based at Head Office, Orchard Way however regular travel to all sites is essential.
What you will be doing
Offer advice and guidance where necessary to all those seeking or engaging with learning and training content, providing guidance and general information about internal resources or external provision.
Devise, set up and administer an efficient, consistent centralised digital training records system, working collaboratively with HR, line managers & H&S
Build a network of external vendors – learning about latest offerings and negotiating the best fee’s
Set up and then run an ‘on boarding’ ‘buddy program’ for first 6 months of a new employee’s tenure.
Establish annual L&D KPI’s with key stakeholders and pro-actively manage the L&D cost base. Carry out post course evaluations to ensure our learners can put their skills, knowledge and capabilities into practice. Establish methods to measure the success of our outcomes (return on investment)
Continuously assess the effectiveness of our training programs and solutions by seeking rounded feedback from our learners to help us evaluate the success of our programs, resources & solutions.
Desired Experience / Qualifications
Proven experience in an L&D advisory role - designing and delivering L&D materials within a multi-site, manufacturing environment
Knowledge of current trends and best practices within L&D essential
Familiarity with e-learning platforms and learning management systems would be advantageous
CIPD qualification (L&D) advantageous but not essential
Excellent communication, presentation & facilitation skills
Excel in the delivery of training
Experience of working collaboratively and developing great relationships with key stakeholders.
Strong problem solving and analytical abilities
Data driven
High IT proficiency including all Microsoft packages, database usage
Coaching or mentoring qualification would be advantageous but not essential
